About Us

Our first all girls summer camp opened in May 2012 with a group of 20+ beautiful young ladies. The young ladies went through a 7 week program to help them find their GLAM. The young ladies enrolled into Creative Writing, Music, Dance, African Dance, Stepping, and Art Classes. At the end of the camp, the young ladies were able to show their GLAM at the All That GLAM Finale! After a successful summer camp, MADE 2 GLAM hosted two events for our young ladies during the Fall and Spring Semester. It was our desire to stay connected with the young ladies and their families throughout the school year.

A few weeks ago I was crowned homecoming queen at my school and I instantly thought of you and how you made my life GLAM! That's what I've been living by since I was 13 years old at the camp..." -Niyah Odum
The Young lady that changed M2G's Mission
During the camps' first year, a very unique young lady attended the camp. It was noticed by staff early on the reluctance within the young lady to participate and befriend the other young ladies. We were later informed of the young girl's home life. She was currently in her new foster home. The young lady was guarded, and would not allow herself to realize her "GLAMNESS." After 2-3 weeks of camp, the young lady did not return to the summer camp. The foster mother placed the young lady back into the state's care.
After temporarily dissolving MADE 2 GLAM from 2014-2017 due to a family move and my journey into motherhood, I relocated back home. It was time to BE MADE and carry on the mission that was started in 2012. Relocating back to Memphis, allowed the leadership team of MADE 2 GLAM to restructure, refocus, and rebuild. After reflecting on the first two years of operation, we decided to solely focus on young girls that have been displaced from their home. It is our mission to build confidence, fight social issues, and provide guidance to aid in their future. MADE 2 GLAM is determined to beat every statistic facing our young ladies! We are born with a purpose to be MADE, to do great things, and to walk in our GLAM!
